Mercurial is spellcrafting-themed game that involves combo and engine-building mechanics. Players assume the roles of mages of minor renown that have come to a new land. They will explore the creating new spells with elemental dice that can possibly inflict ruin, restore life, or be used to perform heroic deeds for travelers lost in Valanyr. Each player's mage has different abilities and starting resources that they can use to gain prestige as a spellcrafter.
This game is for one to four players, ages 14 and up, and plays in 45 to 60 minutes. It will retail for $49.99.
Space Cowboys also recently released a spellcrafting game, Spellbook (see "'Spellbook' (Board Game)").
