Dynamite Entertainment has updated its order totals for ThunderCats #1, and following the FOC date, that number has now reached 170,000. That’s quite a jump over the pre-FOC total of 100,000 announced last week (see “Dynamite’s ‘ThunderCats’ Has Over 100K Orders”), and it reflects not only Dynamite’s promotional efforts for the title but also the last-minute addition of an FOC variant by Rob Liefeld.

Written by Declan Shalvey, with art by Drew Moss, ThunderCats is based on the 1980s animated series and is the first of a number of comics Dynamite plans based on Warner Bros. properties (see “Dynamite to Publish WB Discovery Comics”).
