Marvel Comics will put the Star Wars character Ahsoka Tano in the spotlight in an eight-issue limited series, Star Wars: Ahsoka, that will be directly adapted from the Disney+ series of the same name. The comics will be written by Eisner-nominated Killadelphia writer Rodney Barnes, with art by Steven Cummings and Georges Jeanty, and each issue will adapt one episode from the first season of the show. The first issue will be released in July 2024 with a main cover by David Nakayama and variant covers by Annie Wu and Jan Duuresma.
Lucasfilm is working on a second season of the Disney+ show (see “‘Ahsoka’ S2 Coming”).
Barnes and Jeanty also teamed up on The Mandalorian, another direct adaptation of a Disney+ series (see “The Mandalorian Comes to Comics”). Cummings was the artist for Star Wars: Crimson Reign (see “Two New ‘Star Wars’ Titles”).
