Lunar Distribution has acquired non-exclusive rights to distribute Magma publications to comic book stores worldwide, beginning with the following launch titles: Silicon Bandits (by Jason Starr and Dalibor Talajic) in April 2024; The Principles of Necromancy (by Jackson Lanzing, Collin Kelly, and Eamon Winkle) in April 2024 and The Scale Trade (by Steve Orlando and Megan Huang) in May 2024.

Last month, Magma announced a distribution deal with Diamond Comic Distributors for the direct market (see “Magma Comix Signs Distribution Deal with DBD”).  Diamond Book Distributors remains the exclusive distributor of Magma’s trade collections.  Magma, previously an imprint of Heavy Metal, relaunched as a standalone publisher in July 2023 (see “Magma Comic Returns as Independent Publisher”).

Magma Comix President & Publisher Denton Tipton lauded Lunar’s approach.  "Christina [Merkler, Co-Owner of Lunar Distribution] and her team are not only receptive to feedback, they quickly implement solutions or double-down on their strengths," he said in a statement accompanying the announcement.  “Lunar is an essential partner for Magma during these fluid times.”
