Wizards of the Coast teased Bloomburrow, a new booster set for Magic: The Gathering, which will hit retail on August 2, 2024.
This Q3 Premier set, which was originally announced last year (see "2024 'Magic: The Gathering' Releases"), will showcase a all anthropomorphic animal characters in a woodland fantasy plane. It have animal types in this set that revolve around each two-color mana combination possible in the game. For example, the Boros colors focus on the Mice creature type, and WotC designers have also revealed that there are Badger, Rabbit, and Bat creature types in the set.
The villains in this set are a group of tainted elementals that cause havoc in the plane. There are also some planeswalkers visiting this realm, and they too arrive in animal form. WotC designers spoiled art of an otter version of Ral Zarek and a fox version of Jace Beleren. The set will also include full-art basic lands cycle through the four seasons.
