Bandai unveiled Sand Land Tactical Card Battle, a card game based on the upcoming anime, which will hit stores on September 27, 2024.
This game, designed by Magic: The Gathering creator Richard Garfield, will include characters from Sand Land: The Series, which is set to hit Hulu in spring 2024 (see "Akira Toriyama-based Anime to Hulu"). The card sets will also be released to match the anime plot as it progresses. In this card game, players will engage in strategic card flip battles where players try to outmaneuver their opponents. Players will attempt to create winning hands every round of play, and if a hand doesn't work, they can scrap it at the start of the next round.
The first product revealed for this TCG was a deck display. Each deck will come with 30 Asset/Tactic cards, a Leader, and a playsheet. Displays will contain six decks, and cases will feature 8 displays.
