Oni Press has kicked off the publishing program for its video game-inspired comics tied to Cult of the Lamb with a Kickstarter, which is currently over $500,000 with 10 days to go.
Cult of the Lamb was developed by Massive Monster and released by Devolver Digital in 2022, and a DLC expansion, Cult of the Lamb: Sins of the Flesh, dropped in January 2024. The expansion had "millions of downloads" in its first week of release, the company said.
The storyline of the video game follows a lamb saved from death by "The One Who Waits" and sent back to create a new cult.
The comic, by Alex Paknadel and Troy Little, with cover art by Carles Dalmau, launches in June. The B cover is by Troy Little, the C cover by Tony Fleecs with Rico Renzi, the D cover by Juni Ba. Incentive variants are by Abigail Starling (1:10) and Stan Sakai with Julie Sakai (1:50); with full art covers by Carles Dalmau (1:20) and Tony Fleecs with Rico Renzi (1:30); and a Blood Red Variant (1:100) by Sakai and Sakai.
A trade paperback collecting Cult of the Lamb #1-4 will street on December 3.
