Dynamite Entertainment's first ThunderCats trade will be a Direct Market-exclusive edition that will not be reprinted. ThunderCats: Omens, collecting the first five issues of Kieron Gillen and Drew Moss’s new take on the story, will be released on July 17 with an MSRP of $19.99. The trade paperback will be released on the same day as ThunderCats #6, which will start a new story arc.
The general-release trade is listed on Amazon as having an October 29, 2024 release date with an MSRP of $24.99 for the hardcover and $19.99 for the paperback; the cover is similar to the main cover of ThunderCats #1.
Dynamite announced it had licensed the series, along with other Warner Bros. properties, in October 2023, and ThunderCats #1 launched in February 2024 (see “Orders Hit 173K for ‘ThunderCats’ #1”). The first issue was the number two seller in ComicHub in terms of both unit and dollar sales (see “Top 50 Comics – February 2024”). The fifth issue will focus on Cheetara, and Dynamite will launch a companion Cheetara series on July 3.
