Alderac Entertainment Group will release Nocturne, a new spatial bidding and set collection game by Flatout Games, into retail on September 13, 2024.
In Nocturne, designed by David Iezzi with art by Beth Sobel, players take on the roles of a fox mystic who is competing against their rivals to collect enchanted items. Over the course of two rounds, players will utilize a set of numbered tokens to casts spells and bid on items found on the forest floor grid. The players can react and disrupt other players' strategies by cast their own to change where items are on the grid.
As the forest grid is explored, it reveals different conditions for magical control. Pathways may become restricted and players may be able to net more items with less powerful spells. The player with the best collection of items by the end of the game best their rivals and wins the game.
This game is for one to four players, ages 10 and up, and plays in 30 to 45 minutes. It will retail for $39.99.
AEG also recently licensed Warlord CCG to Kingswood Games (see "'Warlord: Saga of the Storm' CCG Returns").
