Lucky Duck Games will release Quartz: The Dice Game into retail on August 16, 2024.
This game is the dice game version of Quartz by Passport Studios (see "'Quartz'"). Like of the original game, players assume the roles of dwarves that explore a mine and sell the mined crystals in the city at the end of the day for cold hard cash. The goal of the game is to be the dwarf that makes the most money, thereby claiming the mine at the end of the game. Players accumulate points for crystals as well as penalties for unstable crystals and having the fewest crystals in their chest.
The game box comes with 70 plastic crystals, 5 dice, 5 player boards, 18 tokens, 6 tiles, and a rulebook. It is for three to six players, ages 10 and up; plays in 30-45 minutes and will retail for $25.
