Wildstorm was acquired by DC in 1998, and the publisher has rebooted the team several times, most recently in 2022 (see “DC Goes Back to the 1990s with New WildC.A.T.s. and Wildstorm Series”).

DC will collect WildC.A.T.s in a new compendium format that presents the original series in what it describes as “an all-new recutting of the saga.” The first volume will include WildC.A.T.s #0-13 and #15-20, Team One: WildC.A.T.s#1-2, Team One: Stormwatch #1-2, WildC.A.T.s Special #1, WildC.A.T.s Trilogy #1-3, and WildC.A.T.s Sourcebook #1-2. That includes part of the first run of the series, created by Jim Lee and Brandon Choi, which was originally published by Image Comics, where it formed the core of the Wildstorm Universe, as well as several early spinoffs. The compendium includes work by writers Lee, Choi, James Robinson, and Chris Claremont, and art by Lee, Jae Lee, Mark Silvestri, and Travis Charest. WildC.A.T.s Compendium One will be a 952-page paperback with a cover by Jim Lee and Scott Williams; it will go on sale on November 5, 2024, with an MSRP of $59.99.
