Writer Brian Azzarello, artist Vanesa Del Rey, and colorist Hilary Jenkins have teamed up for a new horror series to be published by BOOM! Studios.  The Creeping Below is the story of an American metal fan who is murdered by a black metal band at a music festival in Oslo and then resurrected by the Old Gods of Norse mythology to wreak revenge on behalf of all women.  The series will launch on October 2, 2024, and the first issue will have a main cover by Del Rey and variant covers by Maria Llovet, Mike Deodato, Jr., and Jae Lee.

Azzarello and Del Rey are contributors to BOOM!'s new horror anthology, Hello Darkness, which is set to launch on July 24 (see "New 'Something Is Killing the Children, Garth Ennis & Becky Cloonan, More").  Azzarello is also collaborating with writer Stephanie Phillips, artist Danijel Zezelj, and colorist Lee Loughridge on Life, a sci-fi story that is formatted as a flipbook and told from two perspectives, to be launched by DSTLRY in August (see "New Series from Azzarello and Phillips").
