Arcane Wonders will release the English Edition of Mezen, a new abstract strategy game, into retail in October 2024.
This game was designed by Nikita Sorokin, with art by Mariya Stankevich, and was published via Hobby World (see "Hobby World"). In Mezen, players assume the role of Russian craftsmen looking create ornamental paintings. They will build up the paintings by combining symbols and flip tiles to meet goals and earn points. Players will choose groups of adjacent identical symbols to remove from the painting on their turn and slide tiles over to fill the spots left open. They then flip the removed tiles to their opposite side and place them in the empty spots on the painting. The player with most points at the end of 10 rounds wins the game.
Mezen is for one to five players, age 8 and up, and plays in 30 minutes.
