The campaign for Gamemasters: The Comic Book History of Roleplaying Games is now live on Kickstarter, including levels for a hardcover copy, a digital copy, a hardcover with illustrated slipcase, t-shirt, and original art pages.

There is a retailer tier, offering 8 copies for $140 (plus shipping), which is a 50% discount from the consumer offering of $35 for one copy. Estimated delivery is in March 2025.

Gamemasters: The Comic Book History of Roleplaying Games is written by Fred Van Lente, who has previously written comic book histories of animation, the comic book industry, and philosophy (see “Rocketship Entertainment Lines Up 17 Graphic Novels”). It is illustrated by Tom Fowler (The Books of Magic, Mysterius the Unfathomable) with colors by Bill Crabtree.
