DC Comics' Black Canary, known for her hand-to-hand fighting skills, will take on Lady Shiva in a six-issue limited series, Black Canary: Best of the Best, by writer Tom King and artist Ryan Sook. The two female fighters will battle to be the best in the DC Universe, with Black Canary getting extra coaching from Batman, Wildcat, and her mother, the original Black Canary. The first issue will be released on November 27, 2024, with a main cover by Sook, variant covers by David Nakayama, Chrissie Zullo, and Dan Hipp, and a wraparound variant by Otto Schmidt.
King is also writing the new Jenny Sparks series, which will launch on August 21 (see "New DC Black Label Series Starring Wildstorm's Jenny Sparks").
