This expansion not only adds a new skirmish to the game but also launches a new edition of Kill Team entirely. The boxed set includes updated rules alongside the Tempestus Aquilons and Vespid Stingwings elite squads. The Aquilons are a Scion drop team that sport carapace armor, while the Stingwings are an auxiliary unit of the T'au Empire. The box also includes 14 pieces of terrain that make up Killzone: Volkus, the new Kill Team Core Book, the Kill Team: Hivestorm Dossier, an Approved Ops Card Pack 2024, an Upgrade: Equipment Pack, and tokens and markers.

Games Workshop also revealed new Imperial Agents products for Warhammer 40,000 (see "'Warhammer 40,000' Combat Patrol and Codex Incoming").
