The Oatmeal and Exploding Kittens revealed Horrible Therapist, a new party game, which will release into retail in early 2025.
The new card game, by co-creator of Exploding Kittens Matthew Inman, is based on The Oatmeal's random NSFW Comic Generator of the same name. The game is a fill-in-the-blank comedy game where players assemble therapy treatments for various questions using cards with cartoons on them. The game is fairly simple: a "therapist" player plays a Question card, a "patient" players plays an Answer card, and other players offer up Treatment cards to make hilarious three-part sequences.
The game comes with 480 cards, allowing for all kinds of combinations of therapy sessions to play out. The game is for two to eight players, ages 17 and up, and plays in 15 minutes.
Exploding Kittens recently revealed four new games that released over the course of summer 2024 (see "Exploding Kittens Reveals Four Games").
