Archon Studio announced Master of Orion: Ad Astra, a new strategy board game, which will head to Gamefound in January 2025.
Master of Orion: Ad Astra is based on the Microprose Master of Orion video game that first released in the 1993. It is a 4X (Explore, Expand, Exploit, Exterminate) tabletop game where players take charge of one of six unique races and explore space. Players will be tasked with managing the population, gaining technology advancements, and developing infrastructure. To slow down their opponents, they may resort to espionage or just simply head to war. The game features card drafting, area movement, dice rolling, and tile placement mechanics that players will need to master to reign supreme in space.
This game is for two to four players, ages 14 and up, and plays in 120-240 minutes.
