Freakz! is a skirmish-scale table-top wargame in which players recruit gangs of savage mutants and compete to pillage the ruins of the world in search of valuable “Artefactz” that promise atomic power. Gaining an Artefactz grants instant mutations to give fighters an edge on the battlefield, but collecting too many could twist them beyond recognition and transform them into an inhuman monster.
The game is intended for fast-paced play, with streamlined mechanics and quick setup using a standard deck of playing cards. Fighters are moved on the table without measurements, and attacks are resolved with a single die roll. Freakz! offers extended campaign-style play, with players able to advance their fighters into more powerful mutants over a series of games.
The game is intended for 2 to 6 players, and is presented in a 128-page hardcover book measuring 9 by 6 inches. It was written by Michael “Wheels” Whelan and features artwork by Bonedust. MSRP is $30.00
