ComicBooks for Troops, which provides comics to members of the military, is inviting retailers, e-tailers, influencers, and others to participate in its annual ComicBooks for Troops weekend, to be held November 8-10, 2024, the weekend before Veterans Day.
"We had an amazing response last year and we heard from retailers and others that events like this brought people into their stores and attended their events,” said CB4T President Mark Weiss in a statement accompanying the announcement. “We are looking for an even greater response this year! Help make a difference for those brave men and women who protect our shores every day"
Information on sponsorships, as well as how to donate comics and pop culture items, is available on the CB4T FAQ page.
Nexus creator Mike Baron recently included CB4T in a Kickstarter campaign (see “Mike Baron’s ‘Nexus: Scourge’ Kickstarter Supports ComicBooks for Troops”).
ComicBooks for Troops (CB4T) is the sister organization to ComicBooks for Kids (CB4K), which provides comics to children in hospitals and cancer centers. In 2023, CB4T donated over 125,000 comics to the troops (see “ComicBooks for Troops Event to Be Held Veterans Day Weekend”). Both charities are 501(c)3 organizations.
