ComicBooks for Troops will hold its second annual event on Veterans Day weekend, November 10-12, 2023, and the nonprofit, which donates comics to those serving in all branches of the U.S. military, is inviting retailers and other comics folk to support the event.
In its FAQ, the organization suggests that retailers can offer discounts to customers who donate money or comics to the cause; direct donations are also welcome. It is a 501(c)3 organization, so donations are tax deductible.
ComicBooks for Troops (CB4T) is the sister organization to ComicBooks for Kids (CB4K), which provides comics to children in hospitals and cancer centers. In 2023, CB4T donated over 125,000 comics to the troops, and in February 2023 the two organizations held an award ceremony to recognize retailers and others who have donated or helped collect and distribute comics (see “ComicBooks for Kids Presents Annual Awards”).
