Fantagraphics Books has announced it will publish Joe Sacco’s War on Gaza, a collection of short strips and single-panel cartoons that were originally published online.  The 32-page black-and-white paperback will be published on December 17, 2024, with a trim size of 8.25” x 11.25” and a MSRP of $12.99.

Sacco is a pioneer in the field of graphic journalism, and Fantagraphics recently published a new edition of his book Palestine, which won the American Book Award in 1996 (see “Fantagraphics to Publish Hardcover Editino of Joe Sacco’s ‘Palestine’”).  His second book on the topic, Footnotes in Gaza, won a 2010 Eisner Award in the Best Writer/Artist – Nonfiction category.
