City of Games revealed The Isle of Cats: Duel, a new standalone board game, for release into retail in December 2024.
The Isle of Cats Duel is a new competitive, standalone game set in the world of The Isle of Cats (see "New Hotness"). In this games, players compete head-to-head as citizens of Squalls End as they rescue cats before Lord Vesh arrives. Cats are represented by unique tiles and belong to family, of which players must try to keep together on their boat. This version of the game replaces the card drafting portion with a new movement mechanic which players will have to master to become the ultimate cat rescuer.
This game is for two players, ages 8 and up, and plays in 30 minutes.
