Games Workshop announced five new Warhammer 40,000: Battleforces sets, which will hit stores for the holidays.
Games Workshop's usual end of year boxed set release (see "Battleforces Sets Incoming") is almost ready to hit retail shelves. The first of the five sets revealed was Adepta Sororitas Battleforce: Penitent Crusade Host. This force is led by a Ministorum Priest, who has 2 Penitent Engines, 9 Sisters Repentia and their Repentia Superior, 10 Arco-Flagellants, and 2 Adepeta Sororitas Rhinos under his command. It also comes with an Adepta Sororitas Transfer sheet that has 290 decals.
Imperial Knights Battleforce: Valourstrike Lance brings more Knights to the battlefield. The set contains a Knight Paladin and 4 Armiger Helverins. The box also comes with an Imperial Knights Transfer sheet which has 647 decals.
The Necrons get some new forces via Necrons Battleforce: Hypercrypt Legion. The set comes with an Overlord with Translocation Shroud, 10 Triarch Praetorians (which can be built as Lychguard), 10 Necron Warriors, and 3 Canoptek Scarab Swarms.
T'au Empire Battleforce: Retaliation Cadre showcases new battlesuit models for this faction. The set contains the following models: a Commander and drone; a Riptide Battlesuit and 2 drones; a Ghostkeel Battlesuit and 2 drones; and a Broadside Battlesuit and 2 drones. It also comes with a T’au Empire Transfer sheet which features 225 decals.
The final release in this wave will be a Dark Angels set. Dark Angels Battleforce: Inner Circle Task Force comes with a Lion El’Jonson model that leads a Chaplain in Terminator armor, 6 Inner Circle Companions, and 10 Deathwing Knights (accompanied by two loyal Watchers in the Dark ). It also comes with a Dark Angels transfer sheet containing 217 transfers.
