R.L. Stine’s The Graveyard Club is getting a sequel, with Stine once more teaming up with artist Carla Borelli. The Graveyard Club: Fresh Blood picks up from the events of the first four-issue series, which launched in September (see “Preview: ‘The Graveyard Club’ #1”), with the teens returning to the graveyard to seek answers to the disappearances of two of their fathers. BOOM! Studios will release the first issue in bookstores on April 15, 2025, and in comic shops on April 16, with three covers: a main cover by Miguel Mercado and variants by Dan Mora and Zu Orzu.
“Darker and darker,” Stine said in a statement accompanying the announcement. “The town has so many dark secrets to reveal, I wondered if any of my teen characters would survive! I love mixing normal teen life with the supernatural. I hope readers will be drawn into the dark mysteries and surprises.”
Stine inked a multi-volume graphic novel deal with BOOM! Studios in 2018 (see “R.L. Stine Goes ‘Just Beyond’ in New OGN Series”) and in 2019 Just Beyond was the publisher’s highest selling graphic novel to date (see “ICv2 Interview”). BOOM! currently estimates that sales of its R.L. Stine titles have topped 250,000.
