Marvel tested out the idea of teaming up the Thing with different characters in Marvel Feature #11-12 and launched the Two-in-One series in 1974. The original series ran for 100 issues, plus seven annuals, from 1974 to 1983, and a revival, Marvel 2-in-One, ran for 12 issues in 2018-2019. Marvel has previously released the series in its Essential, Marvel Masterworks, and Epic Collection formats, and its November comics featured Two-in-One homages (see “Preview: ‘Marvel Two-in-One’ Variant Covers”).
