Marvel Comics will publish a deluxe oversized collection of the first year of Spider-Man’s adventures with the black suit that not only transformed him but tried to control him as well. Marvel Archive Edition: Amazing Spider-Man - The Black Costume: Year One Gallery Edition will include the facsimile editions of Amazing Spider-Man (1963) #252-263, by a creative team that includes writer Tom DeFalco and artist Ron Frenz. The 464-page hardcover, with a 9 1/4” x 13” trim size, will be released on July 22, 2025, with an MSRP of $125.00 and three covers: a main cover by Frenz and direct market exclusive covers by Frenz and Charles Vess.
Marvel will also release Web of Spider-Man Omnibus Vol. 1, featuring Spider-Man in both the black and the red-and-blue suits, in March 2025 (see “Marvel Collects ‘Web of Spider-Man’”).
