Exalted Funeral will release Pukeapocalypse, a punk, kitbash-driven roleplaying game, this week. It’s designed by Glenn Ford, lead developer on Osprey Games’ Gaslands. The art by Lukasz Kowalczuk, along with pieces by Aleksander Kostic and Tiger Wizard, is in 90s neon gore style.
"It’s my love letter to Garbage Pail Kids, melt movies, and Tromaville, bright and lurid and sort of disgustingly joyful," Ford said of the game, which he describes as "…a nasty, violent, nihilistic, foul-mouthed ride on a torrent of radioactive puke towards the endo the world." The miniatures-agnostic narrative skirmish game is designed to encourage kitbashing and campaign play.
Pukeapocalypse is based on the placement and manipulation of tokens that mark the main resource, acidic stomach bile, as it moves across the tabletop. It includes six factions, six scenarios (including The Fountain of Eternal Piss), a full progression system for your bands, and a narrative campaign.
The game includes a 66-page spiral-bound rulebook, the tokens on punch boards, and a puke bag, shrink-wrapped into a single SKU. MSRP is $35.
