Dynamite Entertainment will launch softcover versions of Vampirella Archives, its collections of the Warren magazine material originally published from 1969 to 1983, this spring. The 8" x 10" collections will retail for $34.99; the hardcover versions, which launched in 2010 (see "Vampirella Collections"), retailed for $49.99 at the time.
The series is planned as 15 volumes collecting the 112 issues. Creators in the first volume include Frank Frazetta, who provided the cover; Forrest Ackerman and Tom Sutton, who did the first story; and numerous others, including Neal Adams, Doug Moench, Reed Crandall, Jeffrey Catherine Jones, Garner Fox, Ernie Colon, Billy Graham, and more. In addition to the first story by Ackerman and Sutton, the first volume includes the origin of Draculina.
The 232-page first volume collecting the first seven issues of the magazine will be released in April.
