Less Expensive Paperback Version of 2022 Omnibus

DC plans to publish Superman: The Death and Return of Superman Compendium, a paperback collection of the full Death of Superman storyline. The material appears to be the same as that collected in the 2022 hardcover Superman: The Death and Return of Superman Omnibus, which had an MSRP of $150, but in a paperback format with a slightly smaller trim size. The 1,368-page compendium will include Superman #73-83, Adventures of Superman #496-505, Justice League of America #69-70, Action Comics #683-692, Action Comics Annual #5, Green Lantern #46, Superman Annual #5, Superman: The Man of Steel #17-26, Superman: The Man of Steel Annual #2, Superman: Legacy of Superman #1, Adventures of Superman Annual #5, Supergirl/Team Luthor Special #1, and Newstime: The Life and Death of Superman #1, with work by writers Dan Jurgens, Jerry Ordway, Roger Stern, Louise Simonson, and others, and artists Jon Bogdanove, Tom Grummett, Dennis Janke, Doug Hazelwood, Jurgens, and others. Superman: The Death of Superman Compendium will go on sale on May 20, 2025, with an MSRP of $59.99.
