The Game Manufacturers Association reported a record attendance for the recently completed GAMA Expo 2025.
Attendance for the 2025 show was 3,425, compared to 2,736 in 2024 (see "GAMA Expo 2024"). This is up 26% year-over-year. The number retailers that attended the show was 1,092, which was up from 890 in 2024. The increase in attendance is likely due to the number of Midwest retailers that were able to drive into the show, as opposed to when the show was in a location where it was easier to fly into rather than drive, like Reno, Nevada.
The number of exhibit booths also increased from the previous year. In 2024, there were 300 exhibit booths, and in 2025, the number of exhibit booths were up to 350. This was increase of about 17%, year-over-year. The booths included several new companies as well as larger companies that attend GAMA Expo year after year. As an observed side note, the retailer presence on Thursday seemed to be more sparse than Wednesday. It seemed that the bulk of attendees came in on the first day of the exhibit floor being open and didn't return for the second day as the show was fairly vacant around 2:30 pm on Thursday.
