In 2025, the Academy enshrined two game designers and a writer. Susan McKinley-Ross, the designer of Quirkle and the first woman to win a Spiel Des Jahres with a solo designed game, was inducted alongside German designer Stefan Feld, who has designed many Eurogames including the Castles of Burgundy series (see "'Castles of Burgundy'") and Civolution (see "Stefan Feld's 'Civolution'"). Ryo Mizuno, who wrote Record of Lodoss War and contributed to Swordworld, was also inducted for his impact on the RPG scene in Japan.
The Academy also honored two games: Codenames by Vlaada Chvatil (see "'Codenames'") and Times Up! by R&R Games. Both of these games are evergreen fan favorites.
