Capstone Games revealed Meltwater, a new post-apocalyptic board game, which will hit retail in July 2025.
In this game by Erin Escobedo, players have to survive a post-apocalyptic world on the one last patch of land left, Antarctica. They assume control of what's left of one of the superpower nations and fight for control of the ice. Players will have to recruit new survivors, control stockpiles, and avoid radiation long enough to wipe out their opponents. The gameplay features diceless mechanics where players will need to displace, corner, and isolate their opponent’s survivors to win the game.
This game is for two players, ages 14 and up, and plays in 60 minutes. It will retail for $39.95.
Capstone Games will also release Raising Chicago, a new economic city-building game by Spielworxx (see "'Raising Chicago'").
