Former Marvel Editor-in-Chief Joe Quesada has added Undiscover'd, a sub-imprint to Amazing Comics, for a line of Shakespeare-based stories. The new line, co-created by Quesada and Barbarians writer and director Charles Dorfman, will feature titles that re-imagine specific Shakespeare plays in new genres and settings.
The new sub-imprint is growing from the first title from Amazing, Disciple, which begins with Hamlet as a young boy in a prequel to the play (see "New Imprint, Amazing Comics"). All Amazing titles will be distributed by Mad Cave Studios and European publisher Dupuis.
Amazing also revealed additional talent beyond the names announced at San Diego Comic-Con last summer. In addition to Quesada and Dorfman, writers will include John Wick creator and writer Derek Kolstad, Babylon 5 creator J. Michael Straczynski, Dark Winds and Echo writer Steven Paul Judd, Christopher Priest, and Ethan Sacks. In addition to Quesada, artists will include Esad Ribic, Ryan Stegman, and Ronan Toulhoat.
