Lucky Duck will release The Dark Quarter, a new app-driven co-op adventure game, in June. Two SKUs for the new game will be released: The Dark Quarter base game, and The Dark Quarter – Lost to the Night. The game raised $1,146,901 (converted from Euros at today’s exchange rate) from 11,540 backers on Kickstarter, so definitely has some interest.
The Dark Quarter is set in a dark, fantastical version of New Orleans in the 1980s and centers around the Beaumont Agency's brilliant, colorful, and flawed private investigators. Players each take the role of a Beaumont agent and work together to solve crimes across multi-scenario campaigns in which decisions change the course of the story.
Contents include 4 Character Boards, 20 dice, 48 Ability Cards, 64 Skill Cubes, 45 Location Cards, 45 NPC Markers, 103 Other Markers, 95 Item Cards, 8 Miniatures, a 4-Scenario Long Campaign, and Rulebook.
The Dark Quarter is for 1-4 players ages 18 and up and plays in 3 hours. It will be released June 27 at $59.99 MSRP.
In The Dark Quarter – Lost to the Night, a 13-year-old girl has disappeared, and a band of misfits come together to do what the police cannot.
The box includes 3 feature-length scenarios, 30 location tiles, 3 scene tiles, 21 NPC markers, 28 consumable cards, 21 story cards, and three miniatures: 1 Small NPC Mini (~32mm), 1 Medium NPC Mini (~44mm), 1 Honey Island Swamp Monster (~70mm).
Lost to the Night introduces 4 characters (Jane 'Bluejay' Tien: The Sister; Hector Zavaleta: The Protector; Fermin 'One-Eye' Lafayette: The Teacher; and Evelyn Dansky: The Mother), each with 1 character board, 1 32mm miniature, and 9 ability cards.
Lost to the Night has the same player options, play time, and release date as the base game, and will carry a $34.99 MSRP.
