The story is set in feudal Japan, where Peter Parker, Miles Morales, and Gwen Stacy have followed Kingpin, who has set himself up as the Governor of Edo. In the craziness that ensures, Kingpin unleashes a symbiote that bonds with a young man, Hyo, and apparently transforms him into Venom. Like most manga, Shadow Warrior is black and white and reads from right to left. The first volume, rated for ages 8-12, is 192 pages and will go on sale on September 16, 2025, in to formats, a hardcover with an MSRP of $24.99 and a paperback with an MSRP of $12.99.

Graphix launched its manga program in 2024 with Unico (see "ICv2 Interview: Graphix Co-Founder and Publisher David Saylor") and announced two more series, Hikaru in the Light and Mecha-Ude: Mechanical Arms, at AnimeNYC (see “Two New Titles from Graphix”).
