Alliance Entertainment, moving to expand its move into collectible merchandise after hiring seven former Diamond Comic Distributors staffers (see "Alliance Entertainment Hires Seven"), has announced two exclusive distribution agreements with makers of licensed collectibles.
Alliance Entertainment will be the exclusive North American distributor of premium collectible products from Master Replicas, the companies announced. Master Replicas licenses include Blade Runner, Dune, Foundation, Doctor Who, Stargate, and Mass Effect, among others.
"These pieces are more than collectibles – they’re celebrations of iconic franchises," Alliance Entertainment SVP Collectibles Tony Moyers said in a statement accompanying the announcement. "As a longtime Trekkie, I’m particularly excited to share their new range of 4.5" Star Trek action figures along with the Star Trek Library Series."
Alliance has also extended its exclusive relationship with Weta Workshop, makers of collectibles featuring Lord of the Rings and Lore Olympus, among others, the companies said.
