Central Park Media has announced the re-pricing of its Asia Pulp Cinema titles.  Single DVD releases will now retail for $9.95, with DVD collections starting and $19.95 and up. The titles affected by the new pricing are all live action and encompass a number of genres including drama (Close Your Eyes and Hold Me), science fiction (The Dimension Travelers), comedy (the Weather Woman series), and hardboiled yakuza action (the Tokyo Mafia movies).

The glut of new DVD releases of all kinds has exerted a downward pressure on prices that has become increasingly evident over the past year-and-a-half across a broad range of releases.  So far first run anime titles have generally been resistant to this trend, though prices for many backlist titles and box sets fell during 2004.
