Bandai Entertainment has announced that it plans to release the Ronin Warriors anime on DVD beginning in April 2002. The Ronin Warriors are five young men protected by a mystical elemental armor that battle Talpa and his evil Warlords over the fate of the Earth. Ronin Warriors was first broadcast in Japan as Yoroiden Samurai Troopers and was brought to the United States and dubbed for syndication in the mid-90s. Parts of the 39-episode series were later shown on the SciFi Network and it eventually made its way to the Cartoon Network, where it was shown on the Toonami Block. Each DVD in the Bandai series will feature both the dubbed, cut, U.S. versions and the original Japanese versions of four episodes for a $24.98 MSRP. After the initial release in April, subsequent DVDs will be released monthly.
