AWA Studios has announced the introduction of its latest espionage thriller, Red Zone. From Eisner-nominated comics writer Cullen Bunn (Wolverine, Spider-Man: Season One, Byte-Sized) and Eisner and Ringo Award-winning comic book artist Mike Deodato, Jr. (Wonder Woman, Marvel's Avengers, The Resistance), Red Zone is a high-octane spy thriller set to debut on March 1, 2023.
This four-issue miniseries transports readers to Moscow alongside Randall Crane, an unassuming American professor of Russian and Slavic Studies at New York University. Crane is called in by the United States government for a secret international mission back to Russia, where he finds himself in hot water after his long-buried secrets come to light. When his support team of commandos is ambushed and killed, it is up to Randall to fight his way out of Russia using his "particular set of skills" that were honed during the Cold War era.
Red Zone is created and written by Cullen Bunn and illustrated by Mike Deodato, Jr. Issue #1 will be available March 1, both digitally and in stores wherever comic books are sold.
