James Campbell from Serious Comics in Massapequa, New York shares his experience with Free Comic Book Day 2008 (see “National Comics Holiday this Weekend”), and says it is the first time his store ran out of free comics:

This year for Free Comic Book Day we had some members of the 501st Legion. People were stopping in the middle of the street just to see them. We went though all our free comics, which was a first for us. We had tons of other comics for free too. Some local artist stop by to do sketches.

We had so much fun and enjoyed seeing kids come in excited to get comics.
