Paramount's Mission: Impossible III earned a somewhat disappointing $48 million during its debut weekend and had almost exactly the same per screen average as Dan Clowes & Terry Zwigoff's Art School Confidential (though M:I3 earned its average on 4,042 more screens than did ASC, which opened in just 12 theaters in LA and New York).
