Toy and game distributor Flat River Group has acquired Optimum Fulfillment, a wholesale distributor, like Flat River, specializing in ecomm customers, the company announced.  Based in Peru, Illinois, Optimum Fulfillment sells toys, games, and other consumer products to online retailers including Amazon,,,, and others.  The acquisition will give Flat River "enhanced combined operational, technological, and service capabilities," the company said.

"Optimum brings extensive toy and game industry knowledge, deep relationships with respected vendors, and strong operational capabilities to Flat River Group,” Flat River Vice President and CoFounder Matt Dean said.  "We look forward to helping Optimum’s vendor partners expand their eCommerce business."

Flat River will continue to operate Optimum’s Illinois location in addition to their three distribution centers in Kentwood, Michigan, which total 480,000 square feet (see "Flat River Group Adds Distribution Center"), Flat River President and Co-Founder Matt Stahlin told ICv2.

Flat River went through a majority recapitalization early this year (see "Game and Toy Distributor Completes Majority Recap").  It has made one previous acquisition, Impressions Game Distribution Services in 2018 (see "Flat River Acquiring Impressions").
