A flurry of showbiz news has blown in, and it's time for another round-up!

Paramount Pictures has released a new trailer for Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves (see below).  The trailer showcases a few of the monsters that will appear in the new movie, including a displacer beast, an owlbear, and a red dragon.  This movie will open the SXSW festival (see "'D&D' Movie Will Open SXSW") and then hit theaters on March 31, 2023.

Warner Bros. Pictures dropped the second official trailer for Shazam! Fury of the Gods (see below).  The movie stars Zachary Levi as Shazam, and  will be in theaters on March 17, 2023 (see "Best in Shows -- 2023").

Adult Swim is cutting ties with Rick & Morty co-creator Justin Roiland in connection with domestic violence charges from a 2020 incident, according to Variety.  Roiland voices the two main characters on the show, among others, who are expected to be re-cast, and the show will continue without him.  The series was renewed for 70 additional episodes in 2018 (see "’Rick & Morty’ Renewed for 70"); 61 episodes of a planned 100 total have aired to date.

Amazon Studios is pursuing the development of a new Tomb Raider project, according to The Hollywood Reporter. They have partnered with Dmitri M. Johnson’s dj2 Entertainment for a rights deal to develop a Tomb Raider movie alongside a TV series penned by Phoebe Waller-Bridge and a new video game. Tomb Raider projects had seemingly been on hold since the Amazon-MGM acquisition had gone through (see "Amazon-MGM Formalized"), but now it seems that Lara Croft is on her way back out into the wild.

HBO Max is ending its run of both Doom Patrol and Titans, according to The Hollywood Reporter.  Both shows will end after their fourth, and current, seasons.  This comes after the shows' creator, Greg Berlanti, recently penned a long term deal with the Warners (see "Berlanti Signs Long Term with Warners").

Aardman Animations is releasing a new Wallace & Gromit feature with Netflix in conjunction with the 30th anniversary of the release of Wallace & Gromit: The Wrong Trousers in 1993, the company announced.  This will be the first new Wallace & Gromit feature since A Matter of Loaf and Death in 2008, the highest rated program of the year in the UK (see "’Wallace & Gromit’ Biggest of Year").  Netflix has world rights except for the UK, where it will premiere on the BBC before moving to Netflix.  Release is planned for 2024.

Amazon Prime Video announced that a new Critical Role: Mighty Nein animated series will be headed to their platform (see below).  The show will follow a group of criminals and misfits who protect a kingdom from falling into chaos when an arcane artifact capable of reshaping reality ends up in the wrong hands. Amazon also streams the animated series Critical Role: The Legend of Vox Machina, which is in its S2 (see "'Critical Role' Animated Series").
