In previous years the show was held on Tuesday and Wednesday, the busiest days of the week for many pop culture retailers. This year the Comic Book Expo will be held on Sunday, July 22nd and Monday, July 23rd a move that organizers hope will boost attendance.

In the Mirror 's version of events, Marvel-Editor-in-Chief Joe Quesada, who recently traveled to England to talk with Alan Moore, also met with Rowling in her Edinburgh home where they discussed a comic series as well as an animated cartoon series based on the Harry Potter adventures.

Universal Studios, which is already committed to a feature film based on The Incredible Hulk directed by Ang Lee is deep in negotiations with Marvel to acquire the rights to produce a film based on Marvel's first superhero--Prince Namor, the Sub-Mariner--who first appeared in 1941.
