AMC has shot a pilot for a talk show to air after The Walking Dead, during which the show would be dissected and discussed, according to New York.  The new talk show would be similar to Watch What Happens, the successful talk show tied to Bravo’s Real Housewives series. 

The pilot reportedly had former MTV personality and Nerdist blogger Chris Hardwick as host, although that could change. 

A talk show would be cheap to produce, and would help AMC monetize the very expensive-to-produce show based on Robert Kirkman’s comic book series in a new way.  It would also increase the level of excitement around The Walking Dead, which can only be good for expanding sales of the graphic novels, games, figures, and other products tied to the property.
