New York Comic Con News: My Little Pony dog tags and collector supplies will expand the range of merch available, according to Enterplay president Dean Irwin at New York Comic Con.
Enterplay is expanding its range from trading cards (see "'MLP FIM Series 2 Trading Cards'") and the upcoming My Little Pony CCG (see "'MLP CCG' Pre-release Set") to include My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic dog tags, which will be available in both $3 blind packs as well as $7.99 Deluxe 2-Tag Blister Packs. The blind packs will include one of 33 different tags, a decal sticker, tattoos, and a checklist. The Deluxe 2-Tag packs include one of six premium pony tags and one mini tag. There are plans to expand the Deluxe line, "probably with a hobby exclusive of some sort," said Irwin.
Enterplay has also entered into a partnership with Ultra Pro to release card sleeves based on My Little Pony--Friendship is Magic characters, with three already available: DJ Pon-3 (Vinyl Scratch), Fulttershy, and Pinkie Pie. The 4-color printed Deck Protectors come with Ultra Pro's hologram quality seal, and each 65-count set has an MSRP of $5.99. "We actually have quite a few products planned with Ultra Pro that we’re going to be doing together," said Irwin, adding there are plans for playmats (the first of which will retail for $23.99) and 4-Pocket Portfolios (the first of which will MSRP for $6.99).
