DC Comics has announced it will no longer be publishing Humanoids and 2000 A.D. titles beyond the already solicited volumes coming in June, ending relationships that started just one year ago (see 'Interview with DC Prez Paul Leviz, Part II').

The last Humanoids titles published by DC will be The Incal Vol. 2:  The Epic Journey trade paperback and the Transgenesis 2025 Vol. 1:  Ancestor Program trade.  The final 2000 A.D. titles will be The Ballad of Halo Jones trade paperback, The Complete Indigo Prime trade and the Rogue Trooper Vol. 2:  Fort Neuro trade.

DC will continue to make the trade paperbacks it has published available as backlist items.

In the announcement, DC offered kind words about the lines and the hope that another company would pick them up.  'The company's respect for the Humanoids and 2000 A.D. stories, characters, and talent, however, continues unabated,' the announcement said, 'and we hope both lines are welcomed bya a U.S. publisher better able to find deserving audiences for these titles.'
