VIZ Media has acquired two new shojo manga series for U.S. release in print and digital. Idol Dreams, by Arina Tanemura, will debut in November. Tanemura is known for Full Moon and The Gentlemen’s Alliance. Idol Dreams is the story of a 31-year-old woman, humiliated when it’s discovered that she’s a virgin, who finds a drug that changes her appearance to that of a 15-year-old and decides to pursue her teen dreams, including becoming a star.
QQ Sweeper, by Kyousuke Motomi, will launch in October. Motomi is known for Dengeki Daisy and Beast Master. A supernatural high school drama, QQ Sweeper tells the story of a handsome "cleaning expert" and the transfer student at a high school who enters a mysterious door to clean the school of spirits and needs help before she is devoured by otherworldly creatures.
Both series are rated "T for Teens," and will be sold in $9.99 volumes under the Shojo Beat imprint.
