IDW Publishing has announced the July release of a hardcover edition of Tom Scioli’s deliriously deranged, post-apocalyptic Webcomic American Barbarian. The 256-page full color hardcover will collect the entire Webcomic along with a previously unpublished process section "American Barbarian Apocrypha" and an introduction from Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld.
Scioli, who co-authored and drew IDW’s Transformers vs. G.I. Joe crossover (see "G.I. Joe & Transformers in Permanent Crossover"), described American Barbarian as "a distillation of everything I love about the comic book medium and its history, especially the tawdry bits. I love trash and when you love trash, no matter where you go, you’ll always find friends. It’s an international language."
